Naí-Mecí Lodge, Tambopata
Experience all the comfort of being in a hotel, in the middle of the Tambopata rainforest.
Our Naí Mecí Lodge is located about 45 minutes away from Puerto Maldonado by boat, between the Valencia and the Salvador Oxbow lakes, two of the Tambopata’s main attractions. The youngest of the 4 Amazon Ecolodges, “Naí Mecí” (Which means “Our Earth” in the native Ese éja tongue) is living proof that attaining comfort and low environmental impact are not mutually exclusive goals.
Experience world-class comfort in the middle of the jungle.
The lodge is composed of 24 spacious bungalows boasting doubles, triples and even quadruple rooms with a panoramic view terrace. All rooms have screened porches and comfortable furnishing, private bathrooms and hot water.
Relax after your daily activities by our 179-foot-squared pool, enjoy playing darts and billiards in our game room, and get ready to be surprised by the most daring collection of exotic drinks and culinary delights at our bar lounge and dining room.
Built with the environment in mind.
Having considered the alarming deforestation rates in the area, Naí-Mecí was built using OSB recycled plywood panels. The electricity used for water heating is provided by solar cells installed over the bungalows.
Walk through mother nature.
Rainforest trails are the best way to explore and experience the forest at a personal level. Nái-Mecí has 20 kilometers of unmarked trails designed to suit diverse levels of interests and varying degrees of length and difficulty. Our clients are recommended to use the trails only accompanied by their guide.
See the forest from a new perspective.
A strategically located observation tower rises 35 meters above the jungle floor, providing a spectacular view of the surrounding forest and an excellent opportunity to observe birds at eye-level. This tower has a connection to the first of five air tree platforms from our canopy zip down activity.
